When left to figure out what to do next, I decided to take a chance and do something bold. I discovered a new passion helping others to find dream homes as my husband and I built our own dream for our family.

After September 11th, without a job for the first time since I was 14 years old, I wondered what to do next. As a newlywed with a new mortgage to pay, I did not pause for long before taking my next step. While buying our first house together, my husband Aiden and I had an inexperienced agent shuffle us through the process. We were left with so many questions and things we wished we had known. While contemplating my next move, I decided to use my own experience to help others avoid what we went through.

Coming from the casino and hotel industry, real estate was a big change. Fortunately, in my second year as a REALTOR®, God blessed me with a wonderful mentor who is the reason I continue to mentor new agents today.

It was not long before we had our first child, our daughter Aine, and life became trickier balancing my children with my growing business. I passed on the work ethic I learned from my father to my children by bringing them to work at an early age. Countless times I went over contracts or conducted showings and open houses with the baby carrier propped up on the table next to me.

 I moved to the shore after finishing college because I recognized the greater quality of life here. With fresh ocean air and a fantastic community, it is very different from where I grew up in Philly. Here we are blocks away from the beach and anywhere we might want to go. As a child, I had to take buses to get anywhere. I love raising my family in this beautiful and special community.

My husband and I created a household blending two different cultures together. Aiden is from Ireland, and creating a home with two people from very different cultural backgrounds is not always easy. We took everything from our cultural influences and put it together to create our own new blend. My whole life I have found inspiration from many different sources and, no matter where it came from or what I was doing, I always put my own spin on things. We enjoy the new cultural twist we built as a foundation for our family.

It was not easy building my business from scratch, especially while raising two children in the process. And yet, I started out in 2001 as a brand new agent and today I am one of the top 1% of REALTORS® within the U.S. I do not give up, I do not take “no” for an answer, and I do not wait around for things to change. One of the most important things I learned early on in my career is that deals are created, not found. The same goes for dreams. If I had let any one of the million obstacles I encountered stop me, I would not be here today. I simply believed in God, myself and the opportunities I wanted to provide for my family and clients.

 I love this community and enjoy being involved as a soloist at church and serving on local boards. Whenever I am not working, I like going to my children’s’ sporting events, going out to dinner and spending time at the beach. My favorite part of being a REALTOR® is that every day I get to share with my clients The Shore lifestyle I love and help them make it their own for their families.
